ADA Workshop: Accessible Websites

Accessibility issues extend far beyond physical barriers. With the ever-evolving technological society we live in, serial ADA plaintiffs are heavily targeting website accessibility issues to earn thousands of dollars in litigation. Learn what your businesses can do to prevent costly and time-consuming litigation from two local attorneys deeply connected to the Berkeley community.

This Workshop was led by experienced ADA Attorneys, Stuart Tubis and Christopher Whang, from Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Mitchell LLP.

24 Mayoral Candidate Forum

On February 22nd, the Berkeley Chamber hosted the first Mayoral Candidate Forum for the upcoming 2024 election. This structured event included opening and closing statements from the candidates, along with discussion questions from Moderator Beth Roessner, the Chamber's CEO.This event is organized by the Berkeley Chamber, the Downtown Berkeley Association, and the Berkeley Alliance of Business Organizations.

2024 District 7 Candidate Forum

Two candidates are running in the April 16, 2024 special election to fill the vacancy for the council district covering UC Berkeley campus and the 5-block area on the Southside. Featuring James Chang and Cecillia Lunaparra, this event is organized by the Telegraph Business Improvement District and the Berkeley Chamber. Space is limited. Registration is required for in-person or remote (Zoom) attendance.

Berkeley Business Forum w/ Alameda County Transportation Commission:
Making Berkeley Safer | I80/Gilman St. Interchange


Tess Lengyel, Executive Director of the Alameda County Transportation Commission, shared information about the Interstate 80/Gilman Street Interchange Improvements project in the City of Berkeley. This vital project, with the support of state, federal and local funds, will enhance safety and provide multimodal accessibility for all. Work includes a new, elevated pedestrian/bicycle bridge, two roundabouts on either side of I-80 and it will close the gap along the Bay Trail.
