The Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee is pleased to welcome the Honorable Linda Maio, Berkeley City Councilmember for District 1. Councilmember Maio has been an influential member of the Berkeley City Council since the 1990's. Councilmember Maio will share with us her thoughts about the future of Berkeley businesses large and small. Council District No. 1 encompasses, essentially the northern flatlands of Berkeley. There is a great diversity of business here, including major industrial and commercial employers in West Berkeley, the very popular retail shops on Fourth Street, and all types of businesses large and small along corridors such as San Pablo Avenue, University Avenue, and Gillman Street. Please join us to hear the Councilmember's perspective on Berkeley's business future.
